Bec & Jared

This past weekend I had the pure joy of photographing 2 of the most beautiful people on their wedding day. Matt's Neice Bec, and her now husband, Jared. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect!

This was the first image I took, this is just how I found them. :)
I am still working through the images that I took, I will load some as I edit.

Crayon bags.

I LOVE these bags! I always grab Liberty's when we are heading out to dinner or I am going somewhere where I know I will need a few minutes without her chatting :) They keep her occupied for so long! Even Shawn, who is 9, wanted one...

These were the first bags I made. I gave some as gifts over Christmas and I also sold a few. I do a few variations of these, but for now these are the only ones I have. Included is the notebook and BIC Kids Crayons. $15 each.
If you are interested in a crayon bag, let me know for what age, boy or girl and I will let you know what I can come up with. :)

Pink and Black!

This one is my newest creation. The pink is so yummy, it feels so good! Just for fun it has 3 pleats, just to add to the texture. The main photo didn't show this so I took a close up. The Pink and Black tote is $20 and measures approx 35x32 cm. the handles are thick and approx 32cm long.

The beautiful blue tote is made from soft backed curtain fabric. It is so lightweight, but sturdy. I really love this fabric! this tote is approx 40x33cm with long straps approx 66cm and a vintage doily for character! This tote is only $15.

It's in the bag, baby!

In my down time from editing photos, I am making bags. Bags that I hope to give as gifts and sell at markets, or maybe even online.

These are my chocolate with blue dots bags. This fabric is so yummy! Almost like a Taffeta. It is an upholstery fabric so it is sturdy, perfect for totes.

Each bag measures approx 40 x 30 cm. I make the handles different lengths, because we all like different things :)

These bags are $15 for the plain, $18 for the vintage doily (Top pic)and $20 for the vintage doily and button bag (Bottom 2 pics)

If you are interested in purchasing one of my original, handmade bags leave me a comment or send me an email and I will get back to you!

The last of Laura and Brendans images

I think I like taking shots of flowers... :)

Today I handed over the 500 + edited images on DVD to Laura and Brendan. I also put together a photo book for them, I hope it comes back OK. I find them stressful, as the quality of the book is now out of my hands. I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to things like that :)

Thanks Laura and Brendan, I hope you love your photos x

Love these!

The lovely Nareen helped me out for the afternoon. Chief Parasol and tripod gal, and so much more :) Thanks for helping me out Nareen, I think you are super! x

I edited this one today and it is now one of my favourites! I love the looks on Laura and Brendans faces. (and I love the door behind them)

Some more...

I couldn't resit taking this shot. As I walked in this is how I found the girls shoes, it reminded me of how I lined up the boys dress shoes.

This was such a beautiful spot, just as you enter the property. So nice to see lush, green grass

I love the look on Lauras face.

Moore Park

Not sure if I have finished playing with these yet... not quite the look I wanted...
How beautiful is Laura's parasol? It features in a few more photos to come.

Random

Laura's family operates a yummy fruit orchard, this is where the girls prepared for the day and we also used as a location for photos after the ceremony.
Top image - I arrived to get some 'before' snaps of the girls just as the Limo was arriving.
Bottom image - I was with the boys and while I was watching them tie ties, I spotted the hire shoes all polished and bagged ready to go! I couldn't help myself :)

Laura and Brendan's Beautiful Wedding.

This past Saturday I had the great pleasure of photographing Laura and Brendan's beautiful day. I have worked with Laura for 3 years and now she is married and moving on. I will miss her! The ceremony was nothing less than fantastic! I don't recall a ceremony where all of the congregation sang the hymns with such joy. It was wonderful to hear.
Now begins my process of sorting through the 696 photos that I took on the day. I will post some of my favourites as I go, so watch this space!

Trees

How perfect is this huge tree! The branches are so massive that some are actually chained up to the trunk. My children would love this in the backyard!

Flowers

Welcome

This is my little blog of Photography and Creativity.

I am by no stretch of the imagination a "professional photographer". I am just someone who loves playing with her new Nikon D90.

Each photo is a learning experience, so is every photoshop technique.

My re-discovered creative outlet is sewing. I am enjoying the quality time with my sewing machine again. If you are interested in any of the items that I have posted, send me an email or leave a comment and I will get back to you, or you can click on my Etsy store link at the side.

Please feel free to leave a comment. I would love to read your feedback. Most importantly, Thank you to the people that trust me to record the special moments in their lives. x
